It's the end of the blog as we know it.

Hey guys. I'm so sorry for the radio silence on this end.  I've been doing a lot of thinking about this blog and where it's going and such.

As I thought about it this week, I decided that I'm going to give up Emily's Reading Room.  After two years of working on the blog, I just don't think that it has the reach or the impact that I want it to, and frankly, if I'm not changing the world, then why am I blogging at all.

I've got a bunch of ARC's and stuff that I no longer need. If you are interested in any of these, please leave a comment and I'll send them out your way.

Thanks for all your support over the last couple years.

As many very astute commenters figured out, this was most definitely an April Fool's joke. I love being with you guys, and even though I'm not changing the world, I am expanding MY world to learn more about books, authors, and the world of literacy. And that makes the work that I put into this very worthwhile.

I do want to thank all of you that want me to stick around and keep blogging. I can promise that I will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

By the way, if you thought THIS was a sick joke, today I told my boss that I got a much better offer at another organization and that they were going to be paying me WAY more than my current job could offer. He was sweating bullets. :)
